Truro BID, in conjunction with Newham BID, are hosting the eighth City Clean Up on Friday 7 to Saturday 8 March this year. The aim of City Clean Up is to encourage as many businesses as possible to volunteer an hour or whatever time they can spare to get involved in helping to clean and tidy our great little city.We want to cover as much of the City as we can, so local Community Volunteer Paul Caruana ([email protected]) is organising litter picks to take place in Truro's surrounding neighbourhoods during the same few days. Damien Richards from Truro City Council ([email protected]) will also be mobilising Truro community groups. We will supply high visibility vests, gloves, bags and litter sticks (thank you to Clean Cornwall).

Friday 7 March 2025
Tregolls Litter Pick
9.30am-10.30am – Litter Pick. Meet at the Alverton Hotel car park at 9.15am for a safety briefing.
We will be split into groups and will cover Tregolls road (Halfords, Garage area has quite a bit of litter)
Cable Tie Cutting and Sign Washing unwanted stickers
12.30-1.30pm – Cable tie cutting and sticker removal. Meet outside Truro Library, Pydar Street.
Newham BID Litter Pick
3-4pm – Litter Pick. Meet at iSight Cornwall 2.30pm for a safety briefing. We will be split into groups and will cover Newham.
Saturday 8 March 2025
Friends of Daubuz Moor Litter Pick
10am-12noon – Litter Pick. Meet at Daubuz Moor 10am.
Trelander & St. Clements Community Association Litter Pick
10am-11am – Litter Pick. Meet at Trelander Hall.
