Join us for an unforgettable evening of musical transcendence, a celebration of hope, joy, and profound emotion. The choir will be joined by acclaimed soloists Joanna Foote, Maaike Christie-Beekman, Jordan Fuimaono and David Greco. David Burchell will conduct. Handel could never have imagined that this oratorio, which he began composing on 22 August 1741, finishing it in 24 days, would live on through generations and become popular throughout the world. It comprises a mammoth meditation on the Christian message, with greater use of the chorus than is generally the case in his other oratorios.
