About this Event
At this open day you will have the opportunity to learn more about our Level 2 Practical Horticulture courses in the beautifully unique setting of St Ann's Allotments.
Join us at 10am where we will discuss course details, head on to the wonderful site to see the different plots and meet some of the course leaders!
10:00am - Arrival at Hillview Community Centre
10:15am - Course Presentation & Information
10:45am - Tour of STAA's project sites on St Ann's Allotments/Further questions
There will also be the opportunity after the tour to ask further questions, discuss options and course routes with you.
About the Courses
There are two course routes available:
Grow Your Own - This essential gardening course will develop learners’ skills in growing vegetables and flowers from seed, maintaining growing spaces and improving soil fertility, rearing soft fruit bushes and canes and harvesting produce.
Pro Gardener - Focusing on fundamental practical skills in horticulture, this professional gardening course enables learners to develop skills such as pruning, planting out, pedestrian-operated tool use and plant identification.
