Come along, and join the presentation and discussion. All are welcome – especially, we invite students to participate!
In the November seminar, Alica Repenning, Greifswald University, Germany, will explore the transformative impact of digital platforms from an economic geography perspective, analyzing the core dynamics of the platform economy, as well as examining shifts in timespace, urbanity, and creativity across sectors such as urban retail and the creative industries. Key questions include how platform-driven changes alter temporal, spatial, sales, and creative practices, and how these shifts reflect new trends versus extending existing patterns. Finally, Alica will consider the implications of abundant digital data on qualitative research methods.
The seminar will be held on Friday, 22nd of November, 12.15, at Rød Stue, 1st floor, Øster Voldgade 10. Everyone is welcome! The seminar is open for students as well as colleagues.
