„Bili smo prisiljeni; nismo imali drugog izbora. Odvučeni prema neizvjesnom ishodu, putem prepunim prepreka i kontrolnih točaka koje smo jedva prolazili, s nepoznatom sudbinom pred nama. Tijekom dugog i tegobnog putovanja sanjali smo trenutak dolaska, nastavljajući koračati prema nepoznatom.
Napokon stižemo. Jesmo li dosegnuli cilj? Nakon prelaska kopna i mora, otkrivamo neočekivano. Sve je bila tek fatamorgana.“
SARAB („Fatamorgana“) je 55-minutni tragični kazališno-cirkuski rad, nastao 2017. godine s ciljem osvještavanja poteškoća s kojima se suočavaju izbjeglice diljem svijeta. Palestinski izvođači kroz cirkusko kazalište promišljaju vlastitu povijest i njezino neprestano ponavljanje u životima milijuna ljudi danas.

Palestinski cirkus osnovan je 2007. godine s ciljem približavanja cirkuske umjetnosti mladima u Palestini. Kroz obrazovanje temeljeno na vrijednostima razvija snažne kreativne identitete te mladima pruža prostor za izražavanje svakodnevice, borbe za slobodu i duboke težnje za dostojanstvenim životom.
Turneja u Hrvatskoj organizirana je kroz suradnju Cirkorame i ROOM 100, uz pomoć Incijative za slobodnu Palestinu.

“We were forced; we had no other option. Dragged towards an uncertain end, along a road filled with obstacles and checkpoints we could barely pass, our destiny unknown. Throughout the long and arduous journey, we kept dreaming of the moment we would arrive, continuing onwards into the unknown.
At last, we arrive. Have we reached our destination? After crossing lands and oceans, we discover the unexpected. It was nothing but a mirage.”
SARAB (“A Mirage”) is a 55-minute tragic theatre-circus piece, created in 2017 to highlight the difficulties faced by refugees around the world. The Palestinian performers use circus theatre to reflect on their history and its ongoing repetition in the lives of millions today.

The Palestinian Circus was established in 2007 with the aim of bringing circus arts to young people in Palestine. Through value-based education, the organisation fosters strong creative identities and provides young people with a platform to express their daily realities, their struggle for freedom, and their profound desire to live with dignity.
The tour in Croatia is organised through cooperation between Cirkorama and ROOM 100, with the help of the Initiative for a Free Palestine
