From Royston Evans, Charlton Footpath Group Coordinator:"Thinking about our next walk, I suggest a slight deviation from our usual walks within the Charlton Parish boundary. Two weeks ago a few of us walked a section of the newly opened Braydon Brook Athelstan Pilgrim Way, which is particularly nice. This circular route via Hankerton is 4.79 miles, a little longer than our last walk, which according to OS Maps will take us 2.27hrs.
Weather permitting, I suggest Saturday 4th October, setting off at 9:30am from Crudwell Church. (There’s plenty of parking around the green). Hankerton Church has a coffee morning on the first Saturday of the month, which will provide a pleasant rest along the route. Our return to Crudwell is much shorter, as you'll see from the map below.
Including the break, we should be comfortably back at Crudwell before 13:00."
