Circling is a practice of connection and meditation in which we focus on the present moment. It is not group therapy or your traditional sharing circle, but a modality in which we are free to express our true experience from moment to moment.
The intention is to integrate meditative presence into social interaction. In doing so we explore the unknown, the volatile, the ambiguous, as well as welcome emotions many deem as “negative” or “inappropriate” such as feelings of inadequacy, anger, sexuality, and joy.
Our circling event is a "brave space" rather than a "safe space". This means we will likely trigger each other from time to time, and there are no guarantees about how you will be received by the group, even when this happens. It does NOT mean we're not willing to support you, but rather that we value the freedom and authenticity of our space above the "safety" of a trauma-informed space. Don't hesitate to reach out if you're unsure whether or not our event is right for you.
