About: At this Big View event, we’re discussing Medicaid—especially relevant as Arkansas navigates policy changes affecting access and eligibility. Healthcare is a basic need, and Medicaid helps people get it, regardless of income. Unlike some states where funding is guaranteed by law, Arkansas’ Medicaid budget is decided annually by the legislature. With competing demands for state dollars, understanding Medicaid’s impact is crucial.
