Circle Songs in Paris (2h)

You're invited to a 2h Circle Song Session!

Come join the fun and explore your musical vocabulary by making a song at the moment.

Circle songs are about group improvisational singing, inspired by Bobby McFerrin's circle songs. In short, it means singing together and creating music as we go along (with some guidelines).

It is a beautiful experience, where you get to sing with others, connect with your sound, and practice listening and singing at the same time, and through improvisation you learn to sing more freely.

There are no mistakes, just explorations.

In this session, we will play with some rhythms and do more improvisational games. I bring something new in each session, to keep things interesting and give you something new to think about! ;)

No preparation nor experience is necessary - just show up and be open!

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
Maja Savic is a professional jazz vocalist and a holistic voice coach with over 15 years of performance experience and has been teaching voice for years combining various techniques which makes her approach a Holistic one.

She is currently based in Paris, performing and teaching regularly with her Jazz and Brazilian projects, as well as teaching Meditation, Breathwork, Relaxation, and many other techniques that help you find balance and peace in life.

She developed her current approach and method during the last several years in Paris, with a focus on empowering singers to be confident on stage and embrace their individuality.

She works on the Body as an instrument, teaches Relaxation and Awareness techniques, deep Breathwork using techniques from Yoga and Mindfulness, Meditation, and Visualization for singers to enhance performance and boost confidence, Vocalizing through both traditional methods as well as Sounding and Healing through sound, Improvisation as Creation in the Moment through Circle Songs and discovering your own musical language and of course all that JAZZ.

In this session, we will cover:
• Basic vocal technique
• Vocal warm-ups
• Rhythmical / Beat-boxing exercises
• Melodic exercises
• Circle songs - creating a song together
• Circle songs - try to create a song yourself at the moment and conduct it to the group!

Time: Once a month on a Saturday 17-19h (Please come a bit earlier so we don't lose any precious time and sing more!)
