About this Event
Begin the new year with a story of fresh beginnings and personal transformation as we present a screening of La Page Blanche (Eloïse's Journey, 2022) by Murielle Magellan, a witty adaptation of the graphic novel by Boulet and Pénélope Bagieu.
This imaginative comedy-drama follows Éloïse, a young Parisian woman who suddenly finds herself sitting on a bench with no memory of who she is or how she got there. With her past erased, she must rebuild her life from scratch, guided only by stray clues, unexpected encounters, and her own growing intuition.
Director Murielle Magellan brings warmth, humor, and emotional depth to this playful existential tale, exploring what remains when identity is stripped away. Through Éloïse’s rediscovery of her relationships, routines, and deepest desires, La Page Blanche becomes a charming meditation on reinvention, self-discovery, and the courage it takes to rewrite one’s own story.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Félicie Petit-Nivard, novelist, photographer, and creative writing workshop instructor, who will reflect on la page blanche and the creative path it opens.
The evening will conclude with a wine reception, offering a chance for discussion and reflection among fellow cinephiles.
Movie in French with English subtitles.
The Q&A that will follow the screening will be in French and English.
