## Predicaments can be the ultimate Choose Your Own Suck for the person in rope (PIR); they can choose to do something that relieves one aspect of the suck, but that choice results in a different suck… and none of the choices relieve all of the suck. The principle is easy enough to understand… it’s a lose-lose situation for the PIR. But how do we create a situation that isn’t just straightforward suffering, that instead offers choices… but no good choices?
In this class we will explore the fundamentals predicaments, tie-along with several predicaments, and ideate around how we can use the PIRs own body against them.
**Doors for registration will open at 7.00pm, and class will start at approximately 7.30pm!**
**Prerequisites:** In order to participate in hands-on class activities, rope tops *must be able to tie a non-collapsing single column and double column ties, and be familiar with reverse tension, joining rope and basic knots & frictions.* Persons being tied *must have good body awareness. Both should have good communication skills and willingness to collaborate.*
**What To Bring:**
- Basic rope kit (2-4 hanks of rope suitable for human bondage & an appropriate cutting tool).
*No rope? No problem! Some loaner rope will be available.*
- A practice buddy is needed for hands-on participation. We suggest you arrive early if you wish to find another solo person. Feel free to also comment in our event discussion, or reach out on the discord to find someone ahead of time!
- This is a hands-on class; wear comfortable clothing & shoes. Persons being tied may wish to wear snug-fitting clothing, as loose clothing can get tangled in rope.
- Comfort items, such as a yoga mat, water bottle, floor pillow or small lap blanket.
- A notebook & pen/pencil.

This map: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UH3l4STzH09S1tPukJL3MiBPvaebZCQS/view?usp=sharing) provides a helpful guide of where to park: if the green square labeled 1 is full, move to 2, then 3.
There are *five steps* with a railing or a ramp into the venue. Let us know if you need access to the ramp, and we will ensure that door is open! There is a gender neutral, single person bathroom inside, that is ADA approved.
Cincinnati Leather will be providing a handful of tumbling mats and puzzle piece mats for those who wish to participate on the floor. The venue also has plenty of chairs for folks who would like an elevated place to sit.
This venue is BYOB - we recommend folks bring hydration of their choice. If choosing to partake, our instructors reserve the right to ask overly intoxicated folks to not participate in hands on activities.
We will have access to the space until 10.30pm, so feel free to hang out, lab a tie or two, and socialize until then!
