Megalopolis is Francis Ford Coppola's self-funded, forty-years-in-the-making fever dream — part Roman epic, part utopian fantasy, part fever-pitch family melodrama, made by a director who sold his own winery to make exactly the movie he wanted, no notes from anybody.
