Zeer blij met de komst van de IJslandse Arny Margret.
Enig concert in België!
Een ruwe diamant van Ijslandse bodem: Arny Margret, amper 22, heeft intussen één bloedmooie plaat uit - They Only Talk About The Weather. Een nieuw album is in de maak.
Door haar muziek kun je bijna ervaren hoe het is om op een afgelegen plek te leven, omringd door hoge bergen die elk jaar een paar maanden de zon blokkeren.
Haar muziek is het best te omschrijven als indiefolk en hoewel Arny Margret duidelijk een eigen geluid heeft, put ze invloed uit onder meer Adrianne Lenker, Phoebe Bridgers, Aldous Harding, Bon Iver, Indigo Sparke en landgenoot Ásgeir. Mooi lijstje volgens ons!

Icelandic artist-to-watch Arny Margret encompasses folk, indie, and introspective style characterized by a heartfelt and personal approach. She uses rich, intimate instrumentation to delve further into themes of self-reflection and existentialism.
Arny Margret has been making waves not only in her Icelandic hometown, but across Europe and the US, touring extensively, supporting Leif Vollebekk, Passenger, Blake Mills, Ásegir and more, as well as playing the likes of SXSW, The Great Escape, Newport Folk Festival, ESNS, Reykjavik Calling, Iceland Airwaves.
She was nominated for Newcomer of the Year at the Icelandic Music Awards 2022 and won Best New Act at the Iceland Airwaves Plus Awards. In 2023 she was nominated for Song, Album and Video of the Year at the Icelandic Music Awards, winning Song of the Year. She was also nominated for Newcomer of the Year at the Icelandic People’s Choice Awards. In 2024, she was nominated at the MME Awards for Public Choice. She’s performed a live KEXP session and so far been championed by the likes of Rolling Stone, NME, The Line Of Best Fit, The Independent, Clash Magazine and many more.
The Icelandic indie folk singer draws influence from the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Phoebe Bridgers, Leif Vollebekk and Bon Iver.
