In post-war France, Jan Bojarski, a brilliant but forgotten inventor, sees his ambitions shattered by the absence of official status. Determined to prove his worth, he started making counterfeit notes of exceptional quality. Nicknamed the "Cézanne of counterfeit money" for the excellence of his work, he became one of the most feared counterfeiters in the country. Between human drama and captivating thriller, the film tells the face-to-face between a genius craftsman and the stubborn police officer who will make his arrest a personal matter.
