Join us on February 10 for a special Cinema for seniors screening of the documentary about unconventional art collectors Herb and Dorothy. This film program is dedicated to seniors and is followed by a friendly group discussion with tea and treats.Through this film, you will meet Herb and Dorothy Vogel, two New Yorkers, a postal clerk and a librarian with a passion for art. With their modest means, the couple managed to build one of the most important contemporary art collections in history. Their shared passion and discipline have defied stereotypes and redefined what it means to be an art collector.
The film will be screened in our Ledcor Theatre in English. This program is a little over 2 hours in length: 91 minutes for the film, followed by a 30-minute discussion with tea and treats. If you are a senior looking to partake in art experiences and meet fellow life-long learners, this program is for you.
Entrance to the program is $5 with no one turned away due to lack of funds. Barrier free access can be accessed online by selecting the appropriate Barrier Free ticket, or by coming to the Gallery and requesting the Barrier-Free ticket.
