This March, Cinema at the Museum presents a series of films that feature groundbreaking and innovative women directors in honour of Women’s History Month. These films create expansive dialogues that speak to kinship, the construct of femininity, class, identity, and immigration.

Olivia, an undocumented Filipina immigrant paranoid about deportation, works as a caregiver to a Russian-Jewish grandmother in New York. When the man she’s secretly paying for a green card marriage backs out, she becomes involved with a slaughterhouse worker who is unaware that she’s a trans woman.
Presented in honour of International Transgender Day of Visibility.
