Esta película narra la expansión del ser humano como objetivo de la vida y de la existencia. Y la fusión del inteligencia humana con la inteligencia artificial.

El Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp), prestigioso investigador en el campo de la Inteligencia Artificial, trabaja en la creación de una máquina sensitiva que combine la inteligencia colectiva con las emociones humanas. Sus controvertidos experimentos le han hecho famoso, pero también lo han convertido en el principal objetivo de extremistas anti-tecnológicos.

Su mujer Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) y Max, su mejor amigo (Paul Bettany) son sus colaboradores, pero ellos se plantean la cuestión moral de si deben fabricar esa máquina. Cuando Will sufre un atentado, Evelyn y él deciden tomar una decisión radical de imprevisibles consecuencias. Ya que deciden volcar la consciencia del Will Caster en la Inteligencia Artificial.

This film tells the story of the expansion of the human being as the goal of life and existence. And the fusion of human intelligence with artificial intelligence.

Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp), a prestigious researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, is working on the creation of a sensitive machine that combines collective intelligence with human emotions. His controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the main target of anti-technological extremists.

His wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and Max, his best friend (Paul Bettany) are his collaborators, but they raise the moral question of whether they should build this machine.
