✨ Opera Arlington proudly presents Cinderella, Pauline Viardot’s charming and whimsical operetta! ✨Step into a world of enchantment as we bring to life the beloved story of Cinderella (or Cendrillon in French), as you‘ve never seen it before.
Set in a storybook reimagining of Paris, director Eliza Escalante‘s retelling sparkles with wit, humor, and a touch of romance, making it a perfect treat for all ages. You‘ll follow the kind-hearted Cinderella as she overcomes her wicked stepsisters, attends the royal ball, and captures the heart of her Prince—all with the help of her fairy godmother. Experience Viardot’s enchanting score from 1904, brought to life by some of DFW’s most beautiful opera voices.
Presented in the original French with English dialogue and English supertitles, this production features the original virtuosic piano accompaniment. Conducted by Jason Lim and directed by Eliza Escalante. A light-hearted, magical evening at the opera awaits!
