The Altoona Lions are excited to host the 50th year of Cinder City Days.
This year’s events are:
Carnival rides:
Friday June 9 from 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Saturday June 10 from 1:00pm – 5:00pm and 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Sunday June 11 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm Tickets can be purchased in advance from the Spectrum Website: https://www.spectrumcarnival.com/buy-online
The following activities will take place on 6/10 at Cinder City Park.
• 8 am – The Altoona Lions Car Show registration. The event opens to the public at 9am. Awards will be handed out at 2:30pm. The car show has a new location behind the baseball fields. The area can be accessed from 10th St. Registration is $5 per car and spectators are free.
• 1pm - Join us for a fun filled parade featuring Floats, Classic Cars, Marching Bands and Much More. Parade Route: North on 3rd Street West - To Lynn Avenue - West on Lynn Ave to 9th St - South on 9th St, Returning to Bartlett
• 2:30pm - A night of FREE Music will start following the parade on the South Baseball Field. The Altoona Lions are excited to have the following bands take the stage:
o 2:30 pm – Fox & Branch – Family Friendly Folk Music. Fun for the entire family.
o 4pm – Kaiged Acoustic
o 5:30 – EllieMay Kay and "The Nashville North Band"
o 7pm - The Thundermen.
o Free bounce houses from 2 pm to 6pm on the south baseball field.
• Concessions and Beer will be available on site including the Famous Charcoal Chicken will be served at noon.
All proceeds from the event are given back to the community. Thank you to the community for the continued community support. Come on down to Hobbs and have some fun with the family!!!
