About this Event

CIM Toronto Branch presents IN PERSON luncheon series:

Practical Cloud Solutions for Mining

Summary: Practical cloud solutions for mining: normalizing mine, fleet, and mill data with a connected industrial ecosystem.

Abstract:

Efficient data management is crucial in the post-Industry 4.0 landscape for process optimization, decision-making, and operational resilience. Collecting and standardizing operations data from mining, fleet, and process plant remains a challenge, especially across multiple geographically dispersed mine sites, often resulting in missed business opportunities. Leveraging cloud technology can streamline enterprise data reporting, enhance decision-making, and ensure timely and secure data access across all organizational levels. Cloud solutions also facilitate efficient data access, enterprise system integration, and secure third-party access to mission-critical information.

In this presentation, AVEVA will introduce new concepts being developed in the cloud, and Centerra Gold will showcase a sample solution implementation.

Speakers:

Max Mckay - Cloud Ecosystem Principal, AVEVA

George Pavlou - Data Scientist, Centerra Gold Inc.

Introductions:

Laurisha Bynoe - CIM Toronto Branch Chair
