Energy modelling plays a critical role in building design and regulatory compliance in the UK — but how closely do predicted outcomes reflect the actual performance of completed buildings?

Join CIBSE North West Young Engineers for an engaging technical session that examines the gap between modelled and measured energy performance in real projects.

The session will cover:
• The UK compliance modelling approach (EPC)
• Operational energy predictions using TM54
• Measured operational energy data from completed buildings

Through two recently commissioned case studies, our speakers will compare predicted performance with real metered data, providing insight into where discrepancies occur and the factors that contribute to the performance gap.
