CIBI Conference on African Centered Education
Welcome to the Council of Independent Black Institutions (CIBI) Conference on African Centered Education! Since 1972, CIBI has been the vanguard for African-centered education, pedagogy, teacher training, science Expo, and more.
This February, CIBI will convene in Atlanta for its conference "African-Centered Education: Now More Than Ever!
Join us on Friday, February 14 at the Omenala Griot Afrocentric Museum from 7 pm-9 pm for our opening plenary in which we discuss strategies to deal with the immpact of current developments in US education and politics on people of African descent.
On Saturday, February 15, at the Auburn Avenure Research Library, we will begin at 10 am with 3 workshops, keynote address with Dr. Joyce King at 12:15 pm, and 1:15 pm with 3 more workshops.
