Fr. Chris Zugger will be joining us this February to talk about the Church's involvement during the Holocaust era. He will cover the following material: - the challenges to rescue by Catholics
- the actual rescuing done by Pope Pius XII before and during the War
- actions by the Vatican in 1938-44 including rescue in Rome itself and occupied Italy
- some of the work done in Poland by the Church vs. the situation in western Europe
- the myth of no public protests, and the disastrous result in Holland in 1942 when the bishops directly confronted the Nazis
