Chunky Monkey / Brash Brothers — Friday, Nov 13

Chunky Monkey / Brash Brothers is a 60-minute durational performance by Athena Anthea, premiering at The Brick Aux in Brooklyn.

Built from a three-minute childhood fight with her older brother, the piece expands that memory into an hour-long performance where eight performers embody the people and objects from the fight — and everyone gets their own chunky monkey dance.

As a queer/trans artist, Athena uses durational performance to explore power, care, and estrangement in families.

Doors at 5:00 PM. The performance begins at 5:30 PM.
