An evening with beloved cultural critic Klosterman.
About this Event

Boswell presents an evening with beloved cultural critic and New York Times bestselling author Chuck Klosterman, who joins us to rewrite the history of rock and roll in his new book, Rock*, a book about music that offers up ingenious satirical commentary on the way culture develops and is considered by critics and historians. This event is cosponsored by Milwaukee Record.

What would have happened if the Velvet Underground had inexplicably become the biggest group in the history of popular music, and everything about the rest of the 20th century was merely a footnote to that phenomenon? In this fictitious universe, almost everything is different, except for the songs. The songs remain the same - the difference is how they are heard and what they now mean.
