CHS Summer Camp

Calgary Humane Society Summer Camp is a place where kids connect with animals. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for children to interact and learn about the animals that share our world.

An enthusiastic staff of instructors, volunteers and friendly animals give your child an enriching experience filled with fun activities, crafts, and some hands-on experiences. Society Summer Camp is a place where kids connect with animals. As they have fun, campers learn respect, compassion, and how to provide a lifetime of care for animals.

Activities are age and developmentally appropriate. For those campers wishing to attend multiple weeks of camp, we have a different theme each week, ensuring diverse experiences.

Campers will learn about animal characteristics, behavior and proper pet care as well as meet and possibly pet bunnies, cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, and more!

Theme Description: So You Want to be a Vet? (Grades 7-9)

Does your child dream of being a vet when they are older? Let them spend a week at our vet camp where they get to explore the ins and outs of the vet profession, spending time with our professional veterinarians and health professionals! Campers will have the opportunity to observe surgeries, shadow health technicians on their medical rounds and have hands-on experience by looking at microscopic slides, x-rays and learning about different medical concerns our animals face. On top of all of that, games and animal interactions round out this unique week.
