Chronos Vocal Ensemble's long-awaited collaboration in Edmonton with Calgary-based Spiritus Chamber Choir!
The combined sounds of these two fine, award-winning ensembles will enthrall our audiences. Spiritus Chamber Choir (Andrea Ciona, conductor) boasts a legacy of nearly 30 years of choral excellence, and was one of the exemplary Canadian nonprofessional choirs that inspired the founding of Chronos a decade ago.
This program will feature a great variety of unaccompanied choral works presented by the two choirs separately and together, including Rheinberger's gorgeous double-choir Mass in Eb (Cantus Missae), and music of Eric Whitacre, Gustav Mahler, Andrew Balfour, Stuart Beatch, Katerina Gimon, and more.
