Christmas with Continuum: Bedford

Christmas with Continuum is our fifth annual festive celebration in the market town of Bedford. The evening brings together a rich offering of choral music: traditional favourites alongside newer works and arrangements that are sure to become favourites in years to come. The programme is a choral celebration of Christmas, defined by Continuum’s outstanding vocal artistry and musical connection. Please join us and, together, we’ll start Christmas with an evening of festive joy, in the company of some of the UK’s finest young professional singers.

Continuum represents a new generation of singers who are shaping the future of choral music. Our name reflects our belief in continuity; we honour the past and its traditions, and we carry that legacy forward with passion for today’s audiences to discover and enjoy.

We pride itself in offering original and dynamic interpretations of repertoire from the Renaissance to the present, alongside promoting new commissions and under-performed pieces. True to our founding ambition, Continuum has commissioned and premiered fifteen new works and arrangements from eight composers. These include emerging voices: Lucy Walker (our Composer in Residence), Alexander Hopkins and Helena Paish. New commissions in 2026/7 include music by Ben Parry, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange, Stuart Beer, Richard Barnard and Lucy Walker.

Since 2019, (with a pandemic in the middle) we have performed more than fifty concerts across England and Wales, building a reputation for musical excellence and creative programming. In 2024 and 2025, the choir released a series on monthly singles accessible on streaming services and YouTube called the Continuum Choral Library.
