On Wednesday10th Dec we will be holding a candlelit Christmas Memorial Service at 7pm, in Holy Trinity Church, followed by refreshments. The format is of a quieter, more contemplative service with some music (including a few carols), readings and periods of silence to allow us to reflect on loved ones no longer with us.
Regardless of what church you go to, or even if you don't go anywhere, then you would be most welcome, as this will be an opportunity to join with others as we journey through our grief, as well as helping us reflect on the hope that Jesus can bring to our lives.
There will be the opportunity to place the names of loved ones on a ‘memorial’ Christmas tree, (using gift tags provided at the service), and at the end, as a symbol of hope, we give everyone a paper butterfly containing seeds that can be planted and flower in the springtime.
So put the date in your diary and invite your friends along, as together, we journey through our loss and share the hope of Jesus.
