Christmas in July has become an annual event for us and a lot of fun. Here's what's in store this year:
*Past season Christmas items will be on sale for 50% off -- come look for ornaments and products you loved in past seasons and get them at bargain prices. Other special sales as marked throughout the store
*$5 bags of used books -- Come fill up a grocery bag with used books on your favorite historical topics.
*Artisan Attic Sale -- Every year for this sale artisan members of the co-op clean out their attics and workshops of left over materials and supplies and offer them at bargain basement prices. You never know what you might find. This year the sale will continue into Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00.
*On Sunday, in addition to the Attic Sale we will be having a workshop on making German Feather Trees. Check out the listing for this event and get registered. There are only three seats left.
*Craft demonstrations and Hands on activities -- scattered throughout the store there will be artisans demonstrating various crafts and for a small fee, will help you make something as well on both Saturday and Sunday.
SPECIAL GUEST!!!! MRS. CAROL CLAUS -- Mrs. Claus, storyteller, baker, reindeer trainer, singer, and second-most famous North Pole resident will be with us from 9:00 to 1:00 with copies of her book, "What Would Mrs. Claus Do? -- Where there is a Wish, There is a Way." Mrs. Claus has lived for centuries and she is now ready to share her wisdom with readers. Helped by her friends Pamela McColl and Lindsay Stewart she has written this book to share that wisdom. Released in September 2025 it debuted in the top 10 Holiday books on Amazon, and reached #1 in its first week.
With a twinkle in her eye, a dash of mischief, and the warmest heart, Mrs. Claus has been a guardian and caretaker of the dreams and wishes of many through the ages. No matter how big you get, or how old you grow to be, Mrs. Claus still looks out for you, and knows that the holidays, and life, can feel overwhelming. She's here to answer your questions, remind you you're never alone, and to help you remember: Where there is a Wish, there is a Way.
This is one Christmas in July you don't want to miss. There may even be cookies and hot tea and chocolate.
