In true Victorian fashion, real walnuts were once gilded and transformed into delicate decorations for fireplaces and Christmas trees. These charming ornaments often held secret messages, tucked inside to be opened on New Year’s Day. While ours may not conceal surprises, they beautifully echo that enchanting era when A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens set the scene for a truly magical festive celebration.
Amelia will guide you through the art of laying gold leaf onto any surface and helping you to create wonderful items that will make fabulous mementoes of the day, and unique Christmas gifts for friends and family.
In this 1½ hour workshop you will:
be given your own toolset to use on the day which contains all the materials and tools required for this workshop.
