Come celebrate God's mysterious miracle!In Paul Gerhardt’s great Christmas hymn we sing, “O Jesus Christ, your manger is my paradise at which I am reclining. For there, o Lord, we find the Word made flesh for us.” What a mysterious miracle: God steps into time to save me. A perfect, holy, and righteous God comes into this sin-scarred world to take the place of sinning sinners like us, like you, like me. What a mystery! What proof that God operates by grace alone! The love of God alone saves us. There is no other reason than the love of God for us that caused this: “God’s own Son with us is one and joins us and our children in our weakness.”
This is what Christmas is about. Come join us on Christmas Day to hear the Word, receive the holy sacrament, and give thanks to God that he performed this miracle for us!
