Life is too short not to allow yourself some fun experiences.

Join us for a FREE Community Christmas Gathering on December 24th, created as an open, welcoming third place for anyone who wants to spend the day in good company. Whether you’re new to Ottawa, away from family, a senior looking for connection, a student far from home, or simply someone who prefers community over solitude — you’re invited!

We expect attendees across ages and backgrounds. The purpose is simple:
To strengthen intergenerational connections and ensure no one in our community spends Christmas alone.

Ottawa often feels like many small villages, and villages thrive on connection. This gathering is designed to bring that spirit to life.

Activities throughout the afternoon include:
• Gift-wrapping station
• Christmas tree decorating competition
• Ornament-making table
• Live musical/ dance performances (lineup coming soon)
• Community potluck. Please, bring an inclusive dish if you can; light snacks will also be available for anyone who cannot contribute

This event is relaxed, inclusive, and centred on human connection.

The holidays can be joyful, but they can also feel isolating. This gathering creates space for people to meet, talk, laugh, share food, and simply be part of a community. It’s built for belonging.

We’re grateful to everyone whose support has brought this event to life.

Info: We’ll open with a brief welcome, a thank-you to the community, a quick walkthrough of how we’ll respect one another in this shared space and a special opening performance.

Info: Get together around a table to wrap gifts for a mystery auction to be given away towards the end of the event, for all age groups. Supplies will be provided.

Info: Join a team of new and familiar faces to craft your own Christmas ornaments!
All supplies are provided, all ages welcome, and the winning creations will be revealed towards the end of the event.

Info: 15 mystery items will be put up for auction. Maximum amount per item $30 (kindly bring cash). The proceeds will go towards donations and covering any specific event costs (if any).

Info: A special performance lineup will close the event, sending us into the holidays warm, energized, and renewed.
