Christmas Community Connection Feast

Community Connection Feast is a communal meal open to everyone. Newcomers, old friends of The Salisbury Centre, and everyone in between is welcome to join for an afternoon of celebration, sharing food, and connecting with one another.

Location: The Salisbury Centre, Art Room

Time: 13:00-15:30 (Read below for details of the schedule)

Accessibility: The Art room is on the ground floor & fully accessible

12:00 – Come early to help set up / do any food prep in the kitchen
13:00 – Arrivals
13:30 – Sit down to begin the meal (a moment of silence, poem, introductions)
15:00 – Gift exchange (more info below)
15:30 – Pack down (help is much appreciated) and home time 🙂

Community Connection Feasts are here at The Salisbury Centre to warm not only our bellies, but also our hearts!

This is a bring-and-share kind of meal. For this Christmas, we invite you to bring your favourite vegetarian holiday meal to share. You are welcome to use the kitchen to heat your dish or chop things up when you arrive.

Additionally, we are now introducing the option to leave a donation upon booking your free spot. This is for those of you who won't be able to bring anything but would like to contribute to some snacks and sides instead. These will be purchased by the host from the donation money.

Please note that if you can't afford a donation or to bring anything, you are still welcome to join! The above is to provide as many options as possible to contribute for those who can, but who may be busy / not have a shop nearby.

No-budget gift exchange: You are invited to bring a gift to add to our holiday gift exchange! We would love this to cost nothing to participate in, so instead of going out and buying something new, we encourage you to choose something that you no longer want/need that could bring joy to someone else (e.g. a good book you’ve already read and are ready to part with, a cosy scarf you love but never wear, etc.). The idea is that we each experience the pleasure of giving and receiving without spending any money! To get involved, simply bring a wrapped gift (no pressure to make it fancy-just so people can’t see what it is!) with you on the day and we will do the rest.
