Perfect for complete beginners, this relaxed workshop is ideal for anyone looking to learn a new creative skill and enjoy a mindful afternoon away from the festive rush. No previous experience is needed.
The session begins with the foundations of modern brush calligraphy. We'll practise the essential strokes, before moving on to letterforms, pressure control and the modern calligraphy alphabet.
Once the basics feel comfortable, we'll explore how letters connect into words and how simple layout techniques can make a design feel balanced and elegant. Throughout the workshop, I'll offer plenty of individual guidance, helping everyone progress at their own pace.
To finish, we'll bring everything together by creating a collection of beautifully hand-lettered Christmas cards and matching gift tags – perfect for adding a thoughtful, handmade touch to gifts and festive greetings.
