6-7pm - Classical Christmas: The Four Seasons by Candlelight

Come and be swept away by a breathtaking candlelit performance of Vivaldi’s legendary Four Seasons with world class soloist Harriet Mackenzie. Described as as delivering “searing intensity” and “captivating” performances (The Strad), her recordings have received five stars from The Times and nominations for 'Recording of the Year' by Music Web International. Surround Sound is a dynamic ensemble of top-class classical musicians uniting for exceptional one-off chamber performances. They each regularly play as principals in major orchestras and shine in West End shows and film sessions, bringing unrivaled artistry to every performance.
This hour long programme also includes a selection of favourite carols; ensuring that the evening is filled with Christmas spirit.

8-9pm - Christmas Concerti by Candlelight

Experience the magic of Christmas with an unforgettable evening of music by candlelight. Let the glow of flickering candles and the brilliance of timeless masterpieces fill your heart with festive joy. The virtuosic bravura of Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, the sparkle of Bach’s Violin Concerto in E major, the charm of Cimarosa’s Oboe Concerto, and the vibrant energy of Vivaldi’s Concerto for Strings. A truly uplifting celebration of the season. International violinist, Harriet Mackenzie, ‘flawless musicianship’ (Gramophone Magazine) ‘thrillingly stratospheric’ (BBC Music Magazine) and worldclass oboist James Beatty (who has played on films such as ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Others’) join the musicians of Surround Sound for four sparkling baroque concerti.
