Jingle bells, jingle bells, the time has come! That's right, we received final approval to have our annual Christmas BBQ for the Homeless and Others in Need at Musgrave Park on Sunday 8 December! Santa, Mrs Claus and Signal Flare have the honour of inviting you all to our biggest event of the year!

We can't wait to celebrate our 13th Christmas with all of you: support services, businesses and individual volunteers, let's come together for people who are doing it really tough - because the time described in the famous song as "the most wonderful time of the year" is often the hardest of them all for people without homes and others who are really struggling. All our BBQs are special, but we always want to make our Christmas BBQs extra magical.

We would like to invite you all to donate wrapped Christmas gifts for the children - please no more than $10 per present, and please indicate on the wrapping whether it is for a Boy or a Girl and the age group. We want Santa to be working hard giving out many presents!

We also like to ask for men's toiletries (no razor blades please and roll-on deodorant only) and non-perishable foods - we need A LOT to give away to people who are struggling. So please call upon your families, friends, colleagues, or sports clubs and band together to collect a few extra cans of foods and fruits, biscuits, soup, longlife milk etc for our guests.

We would love to see many volunteers on the day. Please come early if you can to help us set up from 8am - it's a BIG job made so much easier if there are many helping hands! The same goes for pulling down at the end of the event. If you have a warm heart, an open mind and a big smile you are the perfect volunteer, so please come and join us. If you want to bring your children along please do! Children love to volunteer at our events and always leave with memories they will cherish for a long time as they experience the gift of giving.

As for every BBQ, we will keep you posted of any updates and of any needs arising in terms of donations such as clothes, shoes, toiletries etc.

We are already feeling that wonderful Christmas magic and we hope to see many of you at Musgrave Park on Sunday 8 December to share with each other the wonderful spirit of giving, of inclusion, of happy smiles and full hearts!
