Pour a little holiday cheer with Midwest Candle Co. at Christmas at the Commons! Join us in the Taproom to create a candle of your own while enjoying the festive atmosphere of this holiday event.
Choose from three hand-carved wooden candle vessels—a reindeer, maple leaf, or Christmas tree—then explore our selection of 100% plant-based fragrances, custom created in-house by Midwest Candle Co. Pick a favorite or mix a few together to create your own signature scent, paired with our signature soy-free coconut, apricot + hemp wax blend.
You’ll be guided through the candle-making process from start to finish, with tips on candle care, safe burning, and proper curing before enjoying your creation at home. No experience necessary! Make something cozy for yourself or a thoughtful, handmade holiday gift.
Sip and snack while you create! A private bar and bartender will be available right in the Taproom during class, and you’re welcome to purchase food and drinks to enjoy at your seat. Food and beverages are sold separately.
Before or after your session, explore the local vendor market inside Fire & Fir, enjoy specialty seasonal cocktails, discover hands-on crafts and cheerful activities for all ages, and capture a holiday memory with the live reindeer outside. Choose from three class time slots, with just 20 spots available per session. Advance registration is strongly encouraged to reserve your seat. Any remaining openings will be available to walk-ins on the day of the event, subject to availability.
