Christmas at Jackson Barracks: Two Nights Only, December 5 & 6, 2026

This holiday season, the historic grounds of Jackson Barracks in New Orleans will glow with Christmas spirit as the Louisiana National Guard Foundation presents Christmas at Jackson Barracks. Open to the public for two nights only, the celebration runs Saturday, December 5, from 5:00 to 9:30 PM, and Sunday, December 6, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.

A Season of Music

The 156th Army Band will perform a Christmas concert of seasonal favorites, and guests can enjoy a Country Christmas Concert featuring Jeff and Sherry Dugan. Local high school bands and choirs will also take the stage, filling the grounds with the sounds of the season.

Shop, Eat and Celebrate

The Christmas Market features more than 40 vendors, perfect for checking off holiday gift lists while supporting local businesses and artisans. Food and beverage vendors will be on hand both evenings.

Magic for the Whole Family

Children will find plenty to love. Santa’s Village offers photo opportunities for capturing holiday memories, and the Jackson Barracks Train Experience gives young guests a festive ride. Kids can get creative with holiday crafts, including decorating a gingerbread man, a stocking or an ornament. Children’s games and face painting round out the fun.

History Comes Alive

Christmas at Jackson Barracks is also a rare chance to explore one of the region’s most important historic sites. Visitors can discover nearly two centuries of military history throughout the historic grounds.

General Admission includes the concerts, Christmas Market, Santa’s Village, children’s activities and the chance to explore the historic grounds. Food and drinks are available for purchase from vendors. General admission guests can explore the grounds but not go inside the historic homes.

VIP Experience includes everything in general admission, plus:
