An exciting chance to swap/exchange baby and children’s clothing, accessories and toys.
Deliberately timed just before Christmas so everyone can have a pre-Christmas clear out and exchange those outgrown clothes and toys ready for ‘Santa’ to bring some new ones on the big day!
Please note that it is not essential for you to donate. You are more than welcome to come along and take what you need for your own children and grandchildren.
Donations can be collected by us or taken to our three designated drop off addresses in Salisbury and Amesbury. This will be from the 24th October 2024 onwards. They will then be sorted and kept in dry storage until the day of event.
You are also welcome to bring along any last minute items on the actual day from 10am onwards. No contribution too small or too big ….. all gratefully received.
We will be collecting the following items …..
😊 Tiny baby/Newborn up to 16 years clothing and shoes
😊 Maternity Clothing and Accessories such as Belly supports and Bra Extenders etc.
😊 New packs/boxes of Maternity underwear, breast pads and maternity pads
😊 Accessories such as scarves, hats, gloves, new underwear and socks, belts etc
😊 Baby feeding equipment and accessories
😊 school Uniform
😊 Clean bedding and curtains
😊 Sleeping Bags & Sleeping aids such as monitors and sleep toys
😊 Sealed new packs of Nappies, Pull up pants and Bed pads
😊 Soft toys and plushies
😊 Baby & Toddler Toys
😊 Jigsaws & puzzles (must be complete please)
😊 Children’s toys and electronics
😊 General children’s and family games/board games
😊 Baby & Children’s books
Please remove any stained or damaged clothing or broken toys etc. As they will sadly be recycled. We want everyone to be able to pick up good quality clean items on the day that they can make use of and enjoy.
Parking will be available at the back of the hall but is very limited. Parking also available a short walk away in a public car park or on road.
There will not be any booking slots but we shall be limiting the quantity of people in the hall at any one time. We will be putting out more items during the four hours so not everything will be taken by the first to arrive to make it fair on everyone.
Any items left over will either be held in storage for the next event or donated to charity. So nothing will be thrown away.
We advise that you do not bring prams or pushchairs into the hall due to space.
Please bring a bag with you to carry your items in and take home.
We kindly ask that you do not resell these items that will have been kindly donated - Please only take what you need for yourself/family. This means they’ll be more than enough to go round for everyone.
Alongside the clothing and toys exchange, we will also have sweet bags, Christmas Eve goodies and reindeer food for sale so you can get ready for the 25th!
Amesbury Methodist Church will kindly also be serving beverages and cake for a small amount of money if you need a refreshment 😊
