Christian Extremism & the 2024 Elections

A roundtable discussion on Christian extremism, immigration, and the 2024 elections bringing together a diverse set of scholars and experts to explore the interplay between religious radicalism, immigration policy, and political dynamics in the U.S. Dr. Matthew Taylor, author of The Violent Take it By Force, will give opening remarks on the forces of Christian supremacy that used spiritual warfare, prophecy, and voter mobilization tactics to sway the election. The panelists (Ahmad Green-Hayes, Lloyd Barba, Jacqueline Hidalgo, Yii-Jan Lin, Dan Miller, Brad Onishi, and Leah Payne) will then respond and discuss, taking up the issue of immigration, the themes of apocalypse, and the ways Pentecostal and charismatic communities shaped the 2024 US elections.
