Christchurch Harbour kayak trip

Saturday 31 October at Christchurch Quay there’s a double high tide from midday to about 4.30pm, which means there will be very little tidal flow to paddle against at any stage of this trip. We'll head upstream from the slipway in the Mayor Mead car park to Iford Bridge, which is the harbour’s upper tidal limit before the River Stour, then head back down into Christchurch Harbour proper and on to Mudeford Quay before heading back up to the car park. It's about a 6.5 mile trip so something like two hours of paddling. It's relatively sheltered trip but obviously weather caveats still apply (if it looks like the weather isn't playing along, I'll cancel the trip a couple of days in advance).
