The Chris Luquette & Shane McGeehan Band is a high-energy traditional bluegrass quartet formed by twice Grammy-nominated guitarist Chris Luquette and singer/bassist Shane McGeehan, formerly of Serene Green.
The band was formed as a result of a common interest in old-school bluegrass. Chris, a Seattle native and long time New Yorker, has developed a name for himself as one of the best guitarists on the scene, and enjoyed an eleven year stint as a member of Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen. A versatile musician and singer with many influences, Chris always adds something fresh and exciting to the mix. Combined with McGeehan’s bass and vocal prowess, the refined banjo playing of Ellery Marshall, and Cesar Moreno’s powerful vocals and mandolin, the musical chemistry is natural and spontaneous.
