Choral evensong sung by the Cathedral Choir. The Magnificat and Nunc dimittis are George Arthur's ethereal 'Friday' service sung a cappella. The anthem is the premiere performance of Robert Lehman's extended anthem "See, see the Word is incarnate." Commissioned by bass chorister Jon Humber in celebration of the new pipe organ, the work features a virtuosic accompaniment and rich choral textures.
Prelude recital by Christian Crocker, director of music and organist of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Chattanooga.
Complementary parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Cathedral, and a festive reception will follow.
The service is also live-streamed and archived for later viewing on the Cathedral's YouTube channel: SJCKNOX.
