Trees can bring cooling shade, beauty, and clean air to your landscape-if they are the right trees for the space and conditions. But trees that are not adapted to the environment in your landscape are unlikely to thrive. If they are planted too close to the house, hardscape, or utilities root conflicts are likely as the trees grow. Arborist Lani Houck from Roseville Urban Forest Foundation will walk you through choosing the right trees for your location.
