Choose Your Own Health Adventure with Snowflake

In this half-day workshop, you will work individually or in teams using public data and synthetic healthcare clinical and claims data to build an app and agent (or more) of your choosing. Snowflake Healthcare experts will be on hand to help quickly build powerful solutions and explore how Snowflake and its Cortex AI abstract away underlying AI deployment complexities to turn sensitive healthcare data into actionable intelligence, securely.

Objectives - What You’ll Learn and Build

• How to Explore Data in Snowflake: discover and interrogate internal and external data, structured and unstructured.
• Develop Interactive Streamlit Apps: design and deploy Streamlit apps - interactive dashboards using natural language
• Deploy Snowflake Cortex Agents: build, test, and validate data agents for clinical, operational, financial, and research scenarios.

Healthcare Learning Paths - Mix and Match:

You can work through any of these healthcare use cases or mix/match to explore unique solutions for your own organization. All data will be provided and is a mix of actual public data and synthetic clinical and claims data representative of a large IDN.

• Biomedical Literature Research Assistant: Explore PubMed for synthetic patient problems and novel therapies.
• Hospital Capacity & Utilization Explorer with Weather: Analyze how emergency department arrivals and hospital admissions are influenced by weather and external factors.
• Clinical Trial Cohort-Feasibility Screener: Estimate which synthetic patient cohorts satisfy specific clinical trial criteria.
• Claims and Denials Intelligence: Analyze recent claims, denials, and opportunities for appeals and revenue recovery.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is for healthcare and analytics practitioners that enjoy solving complex challenges and building solutions. The datasets provided lend themselves to people working with data across any of these categories: Clinical, Financial (RCM), Operations, Population Health, and Research.

No prior experience with Snowflake is required (don’t worry, you’ll pick it up very quickly and have some new skills to take back to your organization). Already use Snowflake? You can build a more advanced set of solutions to take back home.
