Chirp and Cheer (North American Songbird SAFE)

Let’s tweet together for a world where North American Songbirds soar high and sing loud! Chirp and Cheer is an event highlighting our partnership in the North American Songbird SAFE. From creating awesome habitats with native plants, brewing bird-friendly coffee, dimming bright lights to help our night-time flyers, and learning how keeping your cat indoors can make a difference, we’ll share how you can lend a wing to our chirpy friends. Plus, learn some super neat tricks to make your windows bird-safe!
We will be doing a bird call game and have a bird themed take-home wind chime with the ability to construct and paint it. We will also have junior birding books for guests to take home or use here at the zoo.
There is NO EXTRA CHARGE for this event so come on over to the Zoo for a day of song bird exploration!
