Discover Chinese Culture – Free Lunchtime Workshops!
Join us for a series of creative and relaxing lunchtime workshops celebrating the beauty of Chinese arts and crafts. Each week, you can explore a different traditional skill, guided by tutors from the Bangor University Confucius Institute.
Admission: Free – no registration required
Access: First-come, first-served
This workshop introduces Chinese rubbing art, a traditional technique used to preserve carved inscriptions and artworks.
In this workshop, you will:
Learn about the historical importance of rubbing art in China
Discover how designs are transferred from carved surfaces onto paper
Create your own rubbing artwork using simple tools
Take home a finished piece
