Come and learn the basics for this meditative art form. Using the “Four Treasures,” the brush, ink stick, ink stone and the paper, you will learn the techniques to create the “Four Gentleman,” the bamboo, orchid, plum and chrysanthemum. Each “Gentleman” introduces a new stroke or idea and reinforces techniques already learned. Continual demonstrations will be provided throughout the workshop, along with individual attention. This workshop will concentrate on learning the brush strokes to create the bamboo. All supplies will be provided (+ $10 due at booking).
Linda Schultz has an MS in Art Education and a Certificate of Completion from the prestigious Art Form Gallery for Studies in Chinese Brush Painting. She has studied with various experts and master painters for more than two decades, including in the city of Jan Ying, China. Linda's work is in many private collections and galleries.
