Drawing from influences like meditative Krautrock, Jazz, and Rock, Elias Meister creates new soundscapes that venture new paths with the deep improvisational freedom the trio setting offers. Employing both masterful guitar playing and extensive use of effect pedals he is able to take the listeners on fresh sonic adventures. CHINCHILLA is his trio with the masterful musicians Jeremy Gustin (drums) and Scott Colberg (bass). They released their debut album in 2025.

Elias Meister has recorded and shared the stage with record-breaking Grammy-winner Residente, with whom he has performed at such prestigious venues as The Latin Grammy Ceremony, Austin City Limits and Radio City Music Hall. He is a contributing songwriter and artist on Residente's Grammy-winning album 'Las Letras Ya No Importan'. He has performed extensively with musicians such as Leo Genovese, Kenny Wollesen, Ben Street, George Garzone and many more. His bands have performed at the Moers Festival, the XJazz Festival, Fusion and many more. Jeremy Gustin has worked with Marc Ribot, Bill Frisell, Rubblebucket, Albert Hammond Jr. to name a few. Scott Colberg is active in the Jazz, Rock and improvised music scene all over the US. He has performed with Calexico and many more.
